These terms govern your use of funnoted.com. By reading the site you accept them. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the site.
What this site is
FunNoted is an independent editorial publication. We install free games from Google Play, play them and write about what we found. Every verdict, tag and recommendation is the opinion of the editors at the time of publication and nothing more. It is not professional advice, and it is not a guarantee that a game will suit you.
The site provides no downloads of its own. Buttons marked “View on Google Play” open the developer’s official listing in a new tab, where installation, permissions and any in-app purchases are handled entirely by Google and by the developer.
Advertising disclosure
The site is free to read and is supported by advertising. In practice this means two things, and we would rather say them plainly:
- Some placements on this site are paid promotions for games, shown with links to their Google Play listings. Where a placement is paid, it is labelled.
- Most free-to-play games we cover carry advertising inside the app; that is how their studios keep the games free. We describe how intrusive it felt during testing.
Paid placement never buys a verdict, a rating, a tag or a position in the shortlist. Editorial decisions are taken before commercial ones and are not shown to advertisers in advance. Store ratings are reproduced from Google Play exactly as published and are never adjusted.
Premium plans
The premium tiers described on the main page are not active. No payment processing is switched on, no card details are collected anywhere on this site, and the buttons beside the plans only record a preliminary request through the newsletter form. If and when the tiers open, the terms, prices and cancellation rules will be published here first and existing subscribers to the newsletter will be told in advance.
No affiliation
FunNoted is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC, Google Play, or any of the studios whose games appear on the site. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.
Intellectual property
Every image on this site comes from the Google Play listings of the games we review. Game names, icons and screenshots belong to their respective developers and publishers, and are reproduced here for identification and commentary under fair dealing for the purpose of review. Where a screenshot illustrates a section rather than a review row, the game it comes from is named beside it.
The editorial text, the layout, the visual design and the FunNoted name are ours. You may quote a short extract with a visible link back to the page it came from. Republishing whole reviews, or copying the design, requires written permission.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Do not scrape the site in bulk for republication.
- Do not submit someone else’s e-mail address to the newsletter form.
Disclaimer and liability
The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. Games change: an update can alter a mechanic, a rating or the amount of advertising after we publish. We check our facts but cannot promise that every detail stays accurate, and we are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of Google Play or of any developer site we link to.
To the extent permitted by law, FunNoted is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Canadian law.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province in which the publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live remain unaffected.
